Remote Pharmacist in Kansas City, Missouri

Seeking Remote Pharmacists – $55/hr.

Description:

Pharmacists will be reviewing Medicare part D members’ Utilization Management (UM) requests (i.e. formulary exceptions, prior authorization, step therapy, quantity limit exceptions). Client-specific criteria are referenced to determine if a prior authorization can be approved or denied. Pharmacists will have regular communications with providers and members (if trained into Call Center Counseling).

Responsibilities:

  • Act as liaison for specific clinical pharmacy programs in tandem with key internal business partners.

  • Support and resolve pharmacy related member-specific issues to include contacting members and/or providers as needed to support resolution.

  • Utilize prescription and medical claim data to conduct comprehensive medication reviews and generate clinical recommendations.

  • Work with pharmacies, prescribers, and members to get scripts re-written to match use patterns.

  • Contact members regarding soon-to-fill prescriptions based on member history.

  • Identify and implement care management, cost management and process improvement opportunities.

  • Use pharmacy and medical claims data to identify high risk members and intervene with members and providers as needed to resolve drug therapy issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent

  • Current pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy in the State where the candidate is licensed. *Verify by searching (State) State Board of Pharmacy, ex: Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy (will need license number from pharmacist). Also provide transparency on any disciplinary action taken on license which is provided in the search.

  • Cannot live in EST nor live in CA or HI
