Remote Accountant in Longmont, Colorado

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a temporary Remote Accountant for a 4-6 week project restating 2 years worth of monthly financials in preparation for a GAAP audit. Our client is an enterprise management/holdings company offering professional services in strategic planning, human capital management, and accounting solutions.

Day-to-Day:

• Bank reconciliations

• Assisting with prepaid accounts; recording rent/lease payments; reconciling all Balance Sheet accounts

• Two main areas that need attention: Payroll JE adjustments; AMEX transaction cleanup.

Skills and Requirements

2+ years accounting experience

1-2 years audit experience

Experience with accounting software that merges/posts transactions (separate functionality from a software like QuickBooks). – Activity HD merges and posts transactions.

Experience with account clean up. For example, there are incorrect transactions in the general ledger that need adjustment.

Experience with multiple corporate AMEX accounts and reconciliations (step up from bank reconciliations).

Tech savvy & willingness to learn new software

1-2+ years of Excel experience null
