Agropur is looking for a reliability and maintenance expert to join its team in St-Laurent.
In collaboration with the maintenance team, the reliability and maintenance expert is responsible for advancing the site’s maturity in maintenance and reliability. They focus on improving equipment reliability by analyzing failing equipment and site practices. They are responsible for evaluating the quality, robustness, and capacity of asset reliability processes. They report on key performance indicators (KPIs) regarding equipment reliability, availability, and robustness. Their main role is to participate in the site’s evolution towards proactive maintenance.

- Salary range 005: $82,600 to $103,200 (The base salary will be determined based on your academic background, experience, training, and skills related to the position.)
What’s involved in this role:
More specifically, the responsibilities of the reliability and maintenance expert are:
- Leading and managing, in collaboration with all colleagues in their sector, the failure analysis program for equipment issues.
- Collaborating to control and improve MTBF and production equipment.
- Ensuring the progression of the asset health management program and appropriate asset maintenance strategies.
- Helping define PdM CBM technologies deployed on critical equipment to detect failures at an early stage and ensuring related training.
- Responsible for changes to the equipment maintenance plan based on asset failure data analysis.
- Contributing to defining the training needs of maintenance personnel within the key skills management and improvement program.
- Collaborating with continuous improvement triads (AOS) regarding reliability issues.
- Facilitating collaboration with engineers to support reliability in equipment design.
- Assisting employees and engineers in analyzing the reliability of proposed equipment modifications.
- Responsible for reviewing purchase specifications for new equipment regarding reliability and maintainability.
- Making specific recommendations to improve machine performance and reliability based on process and failure data analysis.
- Performing statistical analyses on machine failure data and work order closure codes.
- Providing technical assistance to maintenance supervisors, planners, and maintenance employees in the form of specific technical data on system configuration and performance.
What you need to join our team:
- University or college degree in engineering, maintenance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in reliability within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of best practices in maintenance reliability
- Familiarity with a CMMS software, Guide TI (an asset)
- Holding a certification such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional, CRL, MMP, AM, or equivalent (an asset)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English (English required to work with colleagues from other Canadian provinces).
