The Role/Position:

Reporting into the Senior Director, Compliance, Privacy & ADP Canada AML Compliance Officer of ADP Canada, the Regulatory Compliance role is responsible for identifying and monitoring developments in laws and regulatory requirements that may impact our business operations, including our products and offerings, and working collaboratively with key stakeholders across all ADP Canada business functions to implement and execute all necessary changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring external information sources to identify, assess, and report on relevant legal and regulatory developments affecting our business and solutions, including payroll, time and attendance, benefits administration, and other human resources related compliance matters.

  • Informing, assisting and advising key business stakeholders on the nature and scope of any regulatory developments and compliance requirements applicable to our products and offerings; working closely with the ADP Canada legal team, as appropriate.

  • Prepare clear, timely and robust legislative summaries of developments for internal business stakeholder consumption.

  • Collaborating with core cross-functional teams that are collectively accountable for determining the applicability and impact of changes to ADP’s operations and solutions, and establishing the action plans necessary to implement such regulatory changes.

Additional accountabilities include:

  • Lead coordinator of internal subject-matter experts and key business stakeholders necessary for successful operational execution of compliance requirements.

  • Develop organizational processes and supporting tools, including tracking mechanisms.

  • Partner with key enabling support functions, including Communication, Legal, PMO, Marketing among others, to ensure successful operational execution of compliance requirements.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Tax, Accounting, or related area of concentration, and a minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant regulatory compliance experience. Prior experience in the human capital management industry is a definite asset.

  • Excellent legal and regulatory research and writing skills, with an ability to articulate and communicate the scope of compliance regulations to business stakeholders.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines.

  • Proven analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to interact effectively with all levels of management; ability to influence and establish credibility with senior executives.

  • Deep payroll and HR knowledge & experience. Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) certification is a definite asset.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment across multiple functions.

  • Ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision, goal oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
