About Us

The Academic Registry comprises around 70 members of staff across seven separate departments who together manage all core aspects of the student lifecycle from the moment the student is formally registered with the University through to award and graduation. The specific focus of the Registry School Services Team is on delivering customer service excellence through the management and effective ownership of core academic support systems across UEL’s six academic Schools, academic clusters and individual academic colleagues.

About the Job

The post offers an exciting opportunity to work in a busy and varied academic environment supporting the student experience.  Working closely with the academic team you will be responsible for a portfolio of academic courses, overseeing the module diets and timetabling processes, as well as the interpretation and implementation of university-wide initiatives and providing support and advice to staff (both academic and professional) on UEL’s regulations, procedures and policies.

About You

We are looking to recruit an Academic Administrator to join the Registry School Services Team    based in the School of Psychology.   The focus of the Team is on delivering customer service excellence through the management and effective ownership of core academic support systems for Schools, academic teams and individual academic colleagues.

The role is classified as hybrid and when on campus you will be based in a shared office environment primarily at our Stratford campus and the role holder will be expected to work in a proactive, flexible and cooperative manner. Successful candidates should have a good general education (A-Level standard or equivalent), keen appreciation of providing a high level of customer service, along with strong IT skills, a good standard of written and oral communication skills and the ability to prioritise work and network effectively. Relevant previous experience supporting the provision of learning and teaching within the Higher Education sector would be advantageous.  You will also be expected to provide cover for other team members and carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job.
