Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in nursing required.
• Experience in employee health, occupational health preferred.

Department/Unit SummaryOversees and promotes employee health programs for staff, physicians, volunteers, and students, supporting worker’s compensation and OSHA compliance for Sovah Health – Martinsville. Responsibilities include conducting health screenings, managing workplace injuries and exposures, administering medications, maintaining health records, and coordinating return-to-work plans. Serves as the HR contact for student programs, participates in safety and infection control committees, and ensures timely reporting and documentation of workers’ compensation claims and OSHA logs.
