Job Summary

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care
Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams
Carries out established nursing care for patients and performs related duties as required
Performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs, with assistance and supervision
Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team

Department Description

Central Resource Group Float Pool (Med/Surg Resource Team)

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2.5 years of recent clinical RN experience in adult acute care and telemetry interpretation
  • Active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
  • Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
  • Active American Heart Association ACLS Certification
  • The flexibility to orient and work in all UCSF Health locations

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN
  • RN clinical experience in an academic medical center
  • Experience with electronic medical record documentation
  • Specialty certification e.g. PCCN, CCRN-E
  • Recent float pool experience

License/Certification

  • Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
  • Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
  • Active American Heart Association ACLS Certification
