Registered Nurse CE Specialist

Department:
Nursing College Administration

Serves as a Nurse Planner for the Office of Continuing Education at the OSU College of Nursing; assists College of Nursing faculty in developing and delivering Continuing Education programs; ensures all files and forms for continuing education activities meet accrediting body protocol; designs, develops, and supports the offering of face-to-face and web-based contact-hour bearing and non-contact-hour bearing nursing continuing professional development; works with other health sciences colleges to offer interdisciplinary continuing education; maintains and analyzes continuing education records and data. Sits on committees related to the planning of large events that bear nursing contact hours. Chairs subcommittees related to continuing education within the College of Nursing and for national conferences. Updates/maintains continuing education website, registration pages, and serves as contact for marketing related to nurse continuing education offerings. Must be data-driven and detail oriented

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)

Certification: Current valid RN licensure in the state of Ohio required

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in adult education principles and program management; continuing education processes; use of web-based distance learning platforms; event planning; resource management; and accreditation.

Additional Information:

This position is primarily work from home with occasional on-site meetings or gatherings.

Posting range: $20.53-$27.35/hr

By the start of employment, all newly hired employees must receive at least the first dose of a two-dose series or a single dose of a one-dose series COVID-19 vaccination. Individuals who choose a two-dose series vaccination must receive the second dose within 45 days of their start date. Proof of vaccination will be required at time of hire.

Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, College of Medicine or OSUP Employees are not eligible for personal exemptions.
