About the Role 
An exciting opportunity has become available at the Swinburne Health Service for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN).

As a Registered Nurse within the Swinburne Health Service, you will work amongst a team of other RNs and ENs providing general practice health care to students, staff, and the community. The range of healthcare provided at the clinic includes (but is not limited to) immunisations, mental health support, sexual health education, and wound management. 

Working within this clinic would suit someone with general practise experience, with a sound knowledge of student health issues, sexual health, and education, and must be an Accredited Immuniser. This role provides an attractive roster, working within clinic times of Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. 

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

  • Excellent triage and clinical assessment/treatment skills including emergency first aid/procedures and drug administration
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, in particular relating to Health Education, communities and negotiation
  • Capability of working independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Proficiency in recording patient care details electronically


Qualifications

  • Current APHRA registration as a Registered Nurse Div. 1
  • Experience as a Registered Nurse in GP Clinic
  • Accredited Nurse Immuniser
  • Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health and/or Cervical screening provider 
  • Aural Health Certificate 
  • Infection Control training
