About School of Medicine
The School of Medicine has celebrated its 10th year anniversary and has established a strong profile in excellence in teaching and research. Our affiliation with the Local Health District highlights a dual aim of attracting current and future medical leaders to the region, and in turn improving the provision of health care to the Western Sydney community. Our staff work across hospitals, clinical schools and research institutes at locations across Western Sydney including Liverpool, Campbelltown and Blacktown and across New South Wales at Lismore and Bathurst where our rural program is based, and students likewise are found across Western Sydney and across New South Wales.
The Medicine Unit has a growing research team and has recently been successful in obtaining funding for a number of research studies including ToBOGM: Randomised Controlled Trial of the Treatment of Booking Gestational diabetes Mellitus, Pasifika Preventing Diabetes Program (PPDP) and Apps and Peer support for a Healthy future and Living Well with Diabetes – Mental Health (APHLID-M) study.
About the Role
The Research Nurse (s) will coordinate and assist with data collection and data handling activities across a number of Hospitals in Greater Western/South Eastern Sydney.
The data collection process is complex with a large number of participants, which is why the incumbent must possess exceptional organisational and communication skills to efficiently and effectively support the flow and completion of data collection.
The position will be based at the Macarthur Clinical School, however the Research Nurse (s) may be required to work from and/or attend meetings across Greater Western/South Eastern Sydney.
We are recruiting two positions, one is a full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months, and the other is a part-time 0.8FTE (28hours), fixed-term position for 12 months, both based at Macarthur Clinical School, Campbelltown Hospital.
Job share arrangements will be considered.

Remuneration Package: Higher Education Worker Level 5 $87,744 to $99,381 p.a., (comprising salary $74,145 to $83,978 p.a., 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).
Pro-rata salary will be applied for the part-time position.
