About the Role

The Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor, (Learning Futures) is seeking to appoint a Rich Media Developer to develop digital assets that are interactive, engaging, and student-centred.

In this position you will be responsible for designing and creating augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), mixed reality (MR), 2D, and 3D digital resources for integration within blended and online learning platforms for flexible modes of study.

You will be required to work collaboratively with diverse teams to produce high quality video and other interactive resources including simulations, adaptive platforms and XR – Extended Reality (VR, AR, MR) based environments.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced digital designer to further develop and implement digital transformation working across the digital landscape, developing 2D, and 3D digital resources, 2D and 360 video. You will be involved in the development of innovative content from conception through to implementation in various educational settings.

You will collaborate and work closely with other streams in the TEL team, including Learning Science Analysts, UX Designers and Learning Resource Developers, and engage with key stakeholders such as Information Technology and Digital Services and a range of schools in the development of engaging learning experiences.

This is a full-time position on a fixed term appointment until the 30.12.2024, based at the Penrith Campus, although travel to other campuses of the university will be required.

About You

We are looking for someone who can find creative and effective solutions to problems, critically analyse, work effectively both independently and in teams, is willing to learn new things, and has strong communication skills.

You should have a strong passion for innovation in video production, interactive multimedia and creating educational content. High digital literacy is a must.

You should be highly proficient and experienced in: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Blender and using a range of professional camera equipment. Proficiency and experience in: Unity 3D, Unreal Engine, Substance 3D, and Cenario VR, would be ideal.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 7 $110,370 to $119,091 p.a. (comprising Salary of $93,264 to $100,633 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading).
