Job Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Recruiting and Employer Engagement in the Office of Career Services, oversees the administration and execution of all functions of the Employer Engagement Team and serves as principal administrative contact for engagement on campus with employers, including campus interviews, information sessions, coffee chats/office hours, and career fairs and expos.
Position Description
· Manages daily and programmatic communications with students and employers regarding all aspects of the recruiting process including events, applications, and interview scheduling.
· Serves as lead for designated career fairs and expos, which includes managing database set-up, inviting organizations, promotion to students in coordination with the Communications and Marketing Team, and all other event-planning logistics.
· Builds and maintains relationships with employer partners to increase employer presence on campus as well as job and internship opportunities for students.
· Coordinates with reception team to oversee new employer registration and job and internship approval process as well as to help align job posting related policies and communications with overall Employer Engagement strategy.
· Attends site visits, conferences, and other employer events in-person and online. Manages the distribution of information and is the initial contact for students, alumni, employers, faculty, and staff regarding employer recruiting on campus.
· Educates students about how to navigate employer recruiting processes and wider office services. Works with the Advising Teams to coordinate curriculum and educational offerings that help students succeed in employer recruiting processes, including workshops and other events delivered by employers.
· Facilitates OCS collaboration with designated student organizations on large-scale events with employers.
· Administers logistics for campus interview location, including arranging for student and temporary staffing coverage, preparing daily interview schedules, providing oversight of interviews, and greeting recruiters.
· Supervises student workers and temporary staff to deliver quality customer service to all stakeholders.
· Prepares and maintains the Recruiting and Employer Engagement unit’s complex data in web-based technology platforms, including employer schedules, job and internship postings, plus applications and interviews. Helps collect and compile employer data for annual report.
· Keeps current of trends and reviews best practices with peer institutions for campus recruiting and employer relations.
· Updates student and employer-facing websites as needed.
Participates in full range of office-wide events including open houses, professional development workshops, intra- and inter-departmental and college-wide meetings. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Five or more years of administrative experience required, a combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
BA or BS preferred. Outstanding communications skills and diplomacy; ability to anticipate needs and prioritize/manage multiple complex confidential tasks simultaneously in a demanding environment required. Strong attention to detail and accuracy essential. Flexibility and professional manner essential; ability to work with a variety of people; must work well both independently and as part of a team. Experience overseeing others’ work a plus. Must be able to function at a high level in a public, shared workspace. Excellent computer and web navigation skills essential. Microsoft Office required. Experience with HTML and recruiting software platforms (or other client service manager or database products) preferred..
Working Conditions
This position will be based in Cambridge, MA and requires at least 3 days in the office. Furthermore, individual flexible and remote work options for this role will be discussed during the interview process.
