Are you interested in joining our small and friendly Information Governance team here at Lancaster University?

The University is offering a permanent position suitable for an enthusiastic and motivated professional to provide Records Management expertise and knowledge. Working closely with the Information Governance Manager, you will play a lead role in developing and enhancing the records management culture and practice at the University, providing high quality guidance for University staff on records management issues and ensuring that records containing personal data are destroyed in line with the University’s retention schedules.

Using your professional qualification and/or relevant experience, you will be expected to produce and promote records management policies and procedures to support efficient and effective business processes within the University. You will also work with the University Library and University Archive to enable appropriate records to be transferred into the Archive.

Other duties will include, but are not limited to, producing and delivering staff training materials, conducting records management audits and creating and presenting reports on compliance with the University retention schedules.

A professional qualification or relevant experience in records management is essential.
