RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST, MIT Medical, to perform radiologic imaging for diagnostic purposes.  Will work independently and use knowledge of anatomy, physiology, positioning, and radiation physics and radiation dosage to ensure that a high-quality diagnostic image is produced; perform diagnostic general radiology procedures on infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients as requested by physicians; confirm appropriate clinical data, obtain patient history, and use the lowest possible dose to provide high-quality images for the interpreting radiologist; and provide for the emotional, physical well-being, and safety of patients while maintaining strict standards of patient confidentiality.  May need to lift or turn patients who are disabled, with assistance, if needed.  

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  a high school diploma or its equivalent; registration (or elibility for registration) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) from a recognized accredited institution; Massachusetts license with no constraints or eligibility for license; BLS/CPR; proficiency performing tasks employing arm/hand steadiness; ability to multitask, pay attention to fine details, prioritize, return to functions performed before an interruption, and work both as part of a team and with people of various diverse backgrounds; proficiency with basic computer functions, including MS Office; ability to adhere to safety guidelines; effective verbal and written communication skills, including excellent documentation skills.  Job #21812-7

Working conditions: long periods of standing or walking; grasping, carrying, and reaching; remaining in uncomfortable positions such as bending and stooping; pushing, pulling, or lifting objects weighing up to 20 pounds; and potential exposure to body fluids, hazardous waste materials, poisonous substances, dust, chemicals, bodily injuries, loud or unpleasant noises, electrical hazards, and electromagnetic radiation as in CRTs (VDTs).
