About the role
Reporting to the Director of International Recruitment, the Head of Global Recruitment & Sales is a senior role responsible for the co-delivery of the University’s annual international recruitment targets.
The role-holder will be responsible for key recruitment ‘levers’ such as the multi-million pound international scholarships strategy and the effective management of the global B2B recruitment network.
Setting high standards in the delivery of data-driven international market engagement, developing a customer service led approach to all relevant customer and stakeholders, and managing and motivating an innovative and highly focused international recruitment/sales team.
About you
You will have highly developed people and project management skills, able to motivate and lead a globally distributed sales team focused on the delivery of targets to support the University’s growth agenda.
You will be analytical and data led in your approach to global market engagement, focused on the delivery of both growth and diversity targets. You will be market orientated and commercially focused, bringing a customer service focus to all international recruitment activities.
You will work collaboratively with ease across the wider international team, Marketing, Recruitment & Communications directorate and broader university.
The role holder will:
- Develop and implement a multi-year, global recruitment plan which provides a solid foundation for Aston University’s international recruitment and broader international development ambitions
- Establish a customer service led approach to global recruitment account management which drives the maximisation of recruitment through B2B networks, whilst effectively managing risk and cost of acquisition.
- Develop a brand-new infrastructure for global market intelligence which provides timely management information to senior management, marketing & admissions teams, and academic colleges on global market trends, opportunities and challenges.
- Develop a data-driven approach to international recruitment management & performance, which feeds through to operational market engagement plans and activities, refinement of key promotional levers (e.g. international scholarships strategy) and smart global recruitment reporting.
- Lead a highly-motivated and target-driven sales team which delivers innovative international recruitment campaigns and continually delivers a highly professional service both to external and internal stakeholders and customers.
