We are seeking to appoint a part-time Teaching Associate in Mathematics for a fixed term of 6 months. Hours of work shall be set annually prior to the commencement of the relevant academic year and will vary according to the requirements of the School.
We expect the successful candidate to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, to prepare and deliver lectures, seminars and tutorials; to prepare, administer and mark examinations and other assignments. The usual teaching load for a post like this constitutes 1 module per semester.
We are very much open to scholars who have a background in any area of mathematics but our department is in need of an academic who has significant expertise in teaching specialised modules in machine learning and related subjects.
We would also encourage any interested candidates to look at our department’s staff profiles to see if there are synergies in terms of teaching expertise and the possibility of conducting research https://www.aston.ac.uk/courses/mathematics .
