A position is available in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Southampton for a Research Fellow in Qualitative Methods.  The position is based at Aldermoor Health Centre in the Primary Care and Population Sciences Academic Unit. The post holder will be working on a NAMRIP funded study, entitled “Understanding Patient / Practitioner Experience in having Ureteric Stents” (UPPEUS). The post holder will primarily be responsible for participant recruitment, qualitative data collection, interviewing participants, and analysis of data. 

You will be educated to degree level and must have a PhD or equivalent professional qualification and experience in qualitative research. You will possess excellent organisational and communication skills. Previous experience of qualitative research is essential, and experience of interviewing health professionals would be preferable. Excellent word processing, communication skills and a good eye for detail are essential requirements for this post. This post is offered full time for a period of 3 months and is available from 1st November 2022 but part-time hours will be considered.
