Job Summary	The Psychologist directs clinical services to patients and clients in a clinical, research, education, or public health and safety setting and engages in the full range of psychological services including assessment (psycho-diagnostic and psychological assessment services), evaluation, consultation and/or psychotherapy to promote the mental health and well-being of patients. Provides professional mental health counseling and consultation services for the campus community, incorporates a brief therapeutic model to address the emotional and behavioral needs of students, creates developmental programming to increase healthy lifestyle and coping behaviors across campus, and provides strategic direction and advocacy for university mental health policy and initiatives. Job Responsibilities Performs patient psycho-diagnostic, psychological assessments and evaluations Identifies patient psychological disorders and emotional patterns to understand and predict behavior Assesses safety risks and develops safety plans for at-risk individuals Develops, implements, and monitors individual and group psychological treatment programs with clinical staff and physicians Completes clinical treatment reports in accordance with department and agency guidelines May provide expertise, training, and guidance to the community, peers, and/or students Provides brief individual, group and crisis counseling services to students struggling with developmental and/or personal mental health issues Provides campus presentations, educational activities and outreach programming as needed Provides consultation for referral services to faculty and staff
Minimum Qualifications	Minimum Qualifications: PsyD or Ph.D. in psychology Minimum of 3 years practicing as an independently licensed psychologist State licensed in Wisconsin, or license-eligible as a psychologist
Preferred Qualifications	Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of strong crisis management skills involving mental health emergencies Experience providing short-term brief treatment psychotherapy Evidence of strong communication and networking experience Knowledge and/or experience of the nuances of collegiate student mental health Experience treating clients across various spectrums, including race, ethnicity, orientation, gender identity, ability and economic status through a social justice lens Experience working with high risk and high acuity populations Experience using Medicat or other electronic health records Ability to be highly flexible and modify work and treatment approaches to meet the changing needs of a student population Ability to collaborate effectively with other staff, faculty, departments and positively contribute to a client care team Experience providing psychoeducation on mental health related topics to various audiences, including students, faculty, staff and community members Experience and expertise in working with eating disorders, trauma, military/veteran students, or student athletes strongly preferred Experience providing clinical supervision to trainees and/or unlicensed professional staff working toward licensure
