Job Summary | This position performs duties associated with Magnetic Resonance Imaging. This position may be required to access and administer medications within their scope of practice and according to state law. Qualifications Required Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire. Current licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Utah. One of the following ARRT Registration as Magnetic Resonance Imaging R.T. (MR) (ARRT). MRI Technologist Certification from the American Registry for Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).This position performs duties associated with Magnetic Resonance Imaging. This position may be required to access and administer medications within their scope of practice and according to state law. |
Responsibilities | This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. We protect our patients, coworkers and community by requiring all patient-sensitive employees to be immunized according to CDC standards and hospital policy. Limited exemptions may be made for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs that object to vaccinations. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. Essential Functions Scans patients according to protocols and parameters with knowledge of troubleshooting MRI systems. Archives patient exams. Confidently starts IV’s. Adapts to different MRI environments (1.5T MRI machines, 3T MRI machines, and MRI machines) in the operating rooms. Functions in different patient monitoring systems throughout the organization. Follows MRI safety guidelines according to organization policy. Problem Solving Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills. Ability to provide care appropriate to the population served. |
