The Division of Environmental Health in the Department of Preventative Medicine at the University of Southern California is seeking a motivated, inquisitive, and detail-oriented Project Specialist to help develop and undertake a research project pertaining to long-term effects of environment on brain using neuroimaging techniques. Under the direction of Dr. Megan Herting the Project Specialist will support the day-to-day activities of two new research studies funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience in research and advanced data analysis OR a Master’s Degree in a relevant science or related fields with quantitative coursework involving statistical or epidemiological analyses (e.g. neuroscience, public health, psychology/social work, computational engineering, biostatistics). Strong interest in environmental neuroscience, health disparities, and big data research preferred. This position will require training and knowledge of statistical analyses and a willingness to learn and apply technical skills towards big public health, neuroscience, and environmental health datasets. Must have the ability to multitask and work efficiently on a team.
