Project Officer (Organic Chemistry)

School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Project Officer. 

A Project Officer with solid background and track record in the area of organic synthesis and bioactivity studies of molecules is needed. Solid publication and research experiences are required.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Design and make catalysts and other molecules, responsible to design and execute chemical reactions, design, and perform mechanistic studies

• Design and synthesis of (potentially) bioactive molecules and perform bioactivity and mechanistic studies (with collaborators when needed)

• Work on the differentiating the fine reactivity difference of functional saccharides

• Responsible to other research and lab matters as assigned by PI

Job Requirements:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Organic Chemistry

• Preference will be given to those who has strong record in the areas of organic synthesis, new methodology development, synthesis, and biological activity evaluation of functional small molecules.
