Overview:

  • Full-time, Fixed Term position until July 2023 

  • Salary HEW 6 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements 

  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University 

 

About The Position 
The Projects Officer is responsible for providing high quality project management and advice for research projects, training programs, conferences, secretariat services, and other activities for the Australian APEC Study Centre. 

 

To be successful in this position, you’ll have: 

  • Experience in delivering projects, preferably with a research focus, including financial management and acquittals. 

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, including in cross-cultural environments. 

  • Established organisational and time management skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and re-adjust workload priorities to meet conflicting deadlines. 

  • Proven ability to deal with stakeholders from a diverse range of academic, business and cultural backgrounds and handle a range of situations and information in the strictest confidence. High level of computer literacy and understanding of potential digital offerings. 

  • Experience/Interest in the Asia Pacific region 

  • Ability and willingness to travel interstate to meet role expectations

About the Portfolio 

The Policy, Strategy and Impact (PSI) Portfolio provides focus and momentum for the projects and priorities that were identified in Ready for Life and Work: RMIT’s Strategic Plan, developed in 2015.  

 

PSI works to support and advance the implementation of RMIT’s strategic priorities, including through public policy and government relations, strategy projects, innovative partnerships and capability development.  

 

PSI includes diverse teams such as the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, the Ngarara Willim Centre, the Australia APEC Study Centre, the Future Social Service Institute, the Health Transformation Lab and the Centre for Innovative Justice.  

 

The Portfolio works as a network of collaborative and inclusive teams, working to develop and extend an ‘impact ecosystem’ of relationships and partnerships across and beyond the university.
