About the opportunity
The NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre (CTC) within the Faculty of Medicine and Health are looking for a Project Officer to provide project administrative support on a recently awarded partnership grant between the CTC, NSW Health, the Agency for Clinical Innovation, eHealth and Local Health Districts. Using Implementation Science research methods we will address pressing, fundamental questions for our partners about Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs), in heart failure, diabetes, chronic obstructive lung disease, chronic kidney disease, and musculoskeletal health that demonstrates international leadership through knowledge generation, translation and engagement.
This Program encompasses 5 themes: Theme 1- addresses the acceptability of PROMs by all stakeholders; Theme 2- addresses the presentation of PROMs data to support clinical decision making and to provide benchmarking for jurisdictions; Theme 3- addresses the timing of PROMs collection; Theme 4- addresses statistical considerations in the adjustment for comorbidities; and Theme 5- investigates the optimal use of aggregated PROMs data to guide service level decisions. The Project Officer will be required to coordinate meetings, set agendas, prepare grant reports and PowerPoint presentations, manage budgets and liaise with Government, clinical and research stakeholders of various levels.
Your key responsibilities will be to:

coordinate meetings, set agendas, take minutes for the steering committee and 5 Theme Working Groups

prepare grant progress reports, lay summaries and deposit academic publications

prepare PowerPoint presentations for progress meetings
-
manage the University of Sydney study budgets
-
assist with the recruitment of staff and PhD candidates to the project including assisting with access to Workday
-
liaise with senior Ministry of Health staff and consumers on the project
-
may be required to physically attend meetings in Camperdown and St. Leonards.
About you
-
has completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Health Sciences or other health related field
-
has prior experience with project management
-
has prior experience within a health research environment
-
experience utilising Sapphire grant management system will be advantageous
-
has high proficiency with the full suite of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
-
excellent stakeholder management skills, able to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders of various levels.
