| Department Summary | AIM–AHEAD Coordinating Center: Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Consortium to Advance Health Equity and Researcher Diversity. The Project Manager (Technical) will work under the guidance of Research Enterprise Solutions Director who is also AIM–AHEAD PMO Director in a non-IT organization, and report to the Lead Principal Investigator of the AIM–AHEAD nationwide Consortium. |
| Position Overview | AIM–AHEAD PMO is a newly created (non-IT) group that sets, maintains and ensures standards for program/project management throughout AIM–AHEAD program, nationwide. The PMO is in charge of creating procedures and best practices that will help programs/projects/activities/tasks and operations: go smoothly, complete on time, result in quality deliverables, come under budget and has 360 degrees communications. PMO is evolving to become keepers of best practices, timely communications and direction — all in one spot. The PMP Certified Project Manager will support all aspects of project management and PMO efforts in a non-IT setting. The PMP Certified Project Manager will plan, establish, and manage AIM–AHEAD initiatives and efforts under the guidance of Research Enterprise Solutions Director/PMO Director. PMO focuses on the successful completion of programs/projects/activities/tasks and monitoring the impact and effectiveness of the procedures they outline. |

| Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. |

| Preferred Qualifications | · Organized with attention to detail. · Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning. · Thorough understanding of information procedures and practices as it applies to program/project management. · Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with AIM–AHEAD initiatives and expectations. · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project or any equivalent PPM tool. Experience with web-based PPM tool would be a bonus but not required · Ability to motivate groups of people to complete efforts in a timely manner. · Must be able to multitask and juggle conflicting priorities · Have a flexible mindset to adapt to changes easily · Highly self-motivated and fast learner of new PM process, tools and techniques and train others · Gets work completed with minimal direction and supervision

Job Duties
| o | Manages assigned projects/activities to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project in a non-IT organization. Identifies PM processes to organize projects into stages with realistic timelines |

| o | Develops, maintains, and revises proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, technologies, timelines, funding, and resources. |

| o | Sets and tracks project milestones; manages and accounts for unforeseen delays, then realigns schedules and expectations as needed. Engages in contingency planning discussions and efforts |

| o | Establishes and implements risk and mitigation plans, communication plans, stakeholder management plans and provides status updates consistently. |

| o | Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends as needed to prepare status reports and KPIs. |

| o | Provides periodic updates to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress using consistent reporting methods |
