An exciting internal / secondment opportunity has arisen for the position of Project Manager (to cover the maternity leave of the substantive postholder). This post supports the Strategic Project Manager in achieving our strategic plan objectives through the alignment of research, KE and educational activity focused around regional and government growth priorities including priority sectors, productivity, growth and skills.  This will be through impactful use of Higher Education Innovation Funding (HEIF) and quality-related (QR) Funding; effective delivery of accelerator programmes and innovation vouchers leading on to collaborations with academia and regional businesses and embedding knowledge exchange activity internally and externally.

The post holder will work across the Research, Enterprise & Commercialisation teams to implement robust internal systems to drive increased levels of knowledge exchange, in partnership and aligned with new College structures to strengthen monitoring, evaluation and impact of activity in line with the University’s strategic plan and associated KPIs. The post holder will provide effective and efficient project management support with minimum supervision, ensuring that work conforms to University quality standards / HE guidelines and procedures. They will work as part of the Business Incubation & Growth team and closely with the wider Research and Enterprise Department, to support the overall successful delivery of the programme of activity.

The successful candidate will possess strong project management & excellent communication skills, providing a high level of pro-active support to the Strategic Project Manager and Head of Business Incubation & Growth. The post holder will need to be responsive and pro-active to meet the various priorities as they develop and change throughout the life of the programme.
