The mission: to own the delivery of large and complex environmental restoration projects on-time, within scope and within budget, in the Mid-Atlantic region.
We are looking for someone who identifies as a communicator: who knows how to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders (including RES staff, regulators, clients, and subcontractors); a leader: who knows how to manage multi-disciplinary teams (field ecology, GIS, regulatory, engineering, finance, construction) for the successful execution of projects; and a planner: you will oversee the development of permit applications, support and review drawings/graphics, schedule field work, QA/QC deliverables, and assign duties to the team according to your work plan.
What your day-to-day might look like?
You will be supporting new and existing projects in all project phases. As a PM I/II, you will be assigned several projects at a time, and you will be entirely focused on their delivery. You will be developing project scopes, schedules, and costs, based on your evaluation of the financial feasibility and regulatory and technical requirements. You will be coordinating externally with project developers and federal, state, and local regulators to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and obtain/maintain permit approvals.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in environmental science, engineering, or similar field
Knowledge of Virginia regulatory requirements, including CWA, CZMA, VPDES (ESC/SWM), CBPA, ESA, with State Corporation Commission regulations as a plus
Experience in the energy, utility, residential, commercial, or industrial development sectors
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced work environment
What will make you stand out?
6+ years of progressive experience in an environmental science, engineering, or construction field; with 3+ years of that experience as a project manager
Experience in stream and wetland restoration, natural resource evaluation, permitting, and compensatory mitigation
Advanced degree or additional qualifications such as certifications (PMP)
Experience as team lead of an environmental science, engineering, or construction department
