Job Summary
The Project Manager I manages the entire lifecycle of a small project or phases of a larger project which includes developing a project plan, coordinating the activities of a project team, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of the project.
The Project Manager I is responsible for the coordination of learning technology projects at UBC right through to completion. Primarily works on Learning Technology Hub software projects from the design phase through a service implementation. Acts as a point of contact for LT Hub partners and provides support to planning, estimating, implementation, and administration activities.
Organizational Status
Works within the DevOps group as part of a team providing learning technology services to the University Community. Liaises with personnel from other LT Hub groups, Faculty Instructional Support Units, various Campus service units, University technology professionals, external consultants, architects, trades, faculty, staff, and students.

Consequence of Error/Judgement
Errors in LT Hub estimates could result in University projects going over budget. Errors in LT Hub scheduling could result in delays forcing the University project to start of term deployment windows.
Supervision Received
Works under the general administrative direction on projects and service priorities as assigned by the CTLT Senior Manager, Learning Applications, Integrations, and Analytics.
Supervision Given
Provides project information to LT Hub staff to make sure that learning techology projects awareness is communicated to the Team. Monitors progress of projects as assigned and coordinates activities to ensure that deadlines are met.
