Project Manager

Overview:

RMIT Vietnam , an entity of RMIT University, has campuses in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi 2001. We provide internationally recognised, high-quality, education and professional training for students, clients and the community, and assist in the development of human resources capability in Vietnam and the region by hosting students from Australia and many other countries.

Your role

The position is responsible for the managing information and communication technology projects from inception to completion using appropriate project management governance and methodologies. The range of projects includes software/system implementation and development, infrastructure and network development, and other related ICT projects. The position will regularly engage with project champions, sponsors and stakeholders both internal and external to RMIT. The Project Manager is also expected to provide regular project updates and reports to ITS managers and project stakeholders.

Key selection criteria

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering

• A formal qualification in a recognized Project Management methodology is desirable.

• At least three years of experience in managing multiple medium/large IT projects from inception to completion.

• Experience in updated technologies in cloud, IoT, API, big data, ERP…

• Experience in academic environment or complex integration projects are big plus.

• Experience in communicating with both internal and external stakeholders as well as managing vendors.

• Experience in successfully developing and delivering affordable IT solutions in line with business needs.

• Demonstrated knowledge of current systems and methodologies, including management and understanding of internet systems and security issues in a large corporate environment.

• Experience of data networking and Internet infrastructure.

English Proficiency:

• The minimum requirement is IELTS Academic 6.5 or 170 in Linguaskills.
