PROJECT MANAGER, Chemical Engineering (ChemE), to be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a project funded by the FDA (Development of an Integrated Continuous cGMP Facility for mRNA Manufacturing), including the scheduling of internal project team meetings, meetings with subcontractors, report writing, organizing visits to subcontractor facilities and the FDA, coordinating report writing, and negotiating contracts and maintenance associated with the equipment purchases at MIT. Responsibilities will involve the coordination of projects between investigators at MIT and subcontractors; organization of internal meetings and meetings with subcontractors; aiding with the recruitment and hiring of postdoctoral associates; keeping track of progress on sub-tasks related to the project roadmap; assisting with budget compliance and spending rate and plan; coordinating oral and written reports to the FDA, invention disclosures among project team and subcontractors, and publication writing and submission.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; three years’ administrative, operations, and/or project/program management experience; and experience leading interdisciplinary teams. PREFERRED: advanced degree; experience working in the chemical or biological sciences and coordinating or participating in large interdisciplinary projects; and experience writing technical reports or manuscripts.
