Residing in the MD Program, the Physician Scientist Training Programs aims to prepare physicians-in-training for a career of leading medical discovery, and application of new knowledge to improve human health. These programs aim to educate a physician-in-training to become bilingual in medicine and scientific research.

As Project Manager in the Physician-Scientist Training Program, you will be integral to the development and management of multiple projects in concert with stakeholders and other partners. This includes preparing statistical and financial reports for decision making, conducting detailed analysis and evaluation, andbuilding and strengthening relationships with project stakeholders. Your extensive project management experience, combined with your solid collaborative, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills will be key to your success in this role.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing overall project design, from initiation to close, including developing charters, resources, and schedules.
  • Leading the development and making recommendations for operational policies, procedures and best practices for the program
  • Conducting detailed analysis and evaluation to inform program planning activities
  • Producing complex statistical and/or financial reports
  • Developing and implementing communication plans that support strategic objectives
  • Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
  • Planning and implementing workflows for groups; Serving as a resource to others.
  • Handling complex and/or sensitive information

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive and full-cycle project management experience, preferably within an academic institution.
  • Demonstrated experience developing project management resources
  • Demonstrated experience with leading the development of policies and procedures
  • Proficiency with conducting analysis and evaluation for program activities
  • Strong aptitude with producing statistical and financial reports
  • Ability to plan and implement workflows and serve as a resource to others
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; Strong interpersonal skills and experience in building relationships with stakeholders
  • Adept organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and manage competing priorities, within a complex environment
  • Strong adherence to confidentiality and an understanding of handing sensitive information with tact and diplomacy
  • Proficiency with MS Office, statistical tools, and project management tools

USW Pay Band 14 — $81,000 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $103,588. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
