Salary: £43,414 – £51,805 per annum

This is an exciting, dynamic and pivotal, senior role working with the Bevan Commission team to support innovative, transformational change across health and care in Wales.

This role will manage and support the delivery of key projects for the Commission, including activities and events associated to NHS75. The role will also play an important part in securing income and wider support from a range of partners in both the public and private sectors.

The Bevan Commission is the leading think tank for health and care in Wales, hosted and supported by Swansea University. The Commission provides independent, authoritative advice on health and care to the Welsh Government and leaders in NHS Wales, the UK and beyond. It aims to ensure that health and care in Wales are sustainable whilst remaining true to the principles of the NHS as established by Aneurin Bevan.

The Commission draws upon the expertise of its 24 internationally renowned Commissioners to develop thought pieces to inform Welsh Government policy.  We also help translate our thinking into explicit action through our Bevan Innovators and other innovative means.  The Bevan Commission has experienced great success with its Bevan Exemplars programme and now seeks to test out effective approaches to support widespread adoption and spread of successful innovations.

The Project Manager is expected to lead a project team on a complex project but the role will rely on direction from a project director or senior manager within the Commission.

The applicant should have experience of managing projects, of influencing stakeholders at all levels on a complex project including negotiations and the handling of conflicts and experience in creating a detailed project plan and then managing and monitoring the plan to ensure successful completion of activities to achieve the required quality, timescales and budget targets.

The role holder should have a successful track record of being able to work as part of a team, utilising excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be expected to provide exceptional customer care, demonstrating outstanding judgement to successfully deliver outcomes within agreed timescales and to the required standard.
