This position is to serve as a Project Manager for the Schmitz Lab and will lead many of the operational aspects required of the federally funded PA Moves project. Important aspects of this position include coordinating research activities across the 16 sites that are participating in PA Moves, developing connections with members of the study team including principal investigators and clinicians, as well as research participants, IRB members, and hospital staff. Additionally, the Project Manager will use Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines to help develop techniques and procedures that promote the efficient completion of complex research projects and tasks.
Other responsibilities include the following:
– Managing project budgets
– Supervising interns and junior study staff
– Using national and institutional research policies to recruit subjects
– Obtaining informed consent- Scheduling study-related appointments
– Collecting and coordinating study data
– Troubleshooting issues that occur before, during and after patient visits
– Managing regulatory documents
– Analyzing data
Assisting with the preparation and submission of grant applications and scientific manuscripts
