Boeing Canada Winnipeg has an exciting Project Management Specialist opportunity! This position reports to the Business Operations Manager, and is situated out of the Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada office.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various projects within our organization. Working closely with project teams, you will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired objectives. You will have the opportunity to develop project plans, define project scope and objectives, identify project resources and requirements, coordinate project activities, monitor project progress, track project milestones, and manage project risks and issues. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in stakeholder management, communicating project updates and progress to key stakeholders, and ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.
  • Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives.
  • Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project.
  • Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers.
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Winnipeg location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in project management
  • Experience in project management software tools (such as MS project, Milestones professional)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or willing and able to enroll
  • Experience in aerospace or manufacturing
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
  • Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in project management
  • Experience working with quality and/or root cause and corrective action analysis and implementation of acceptable preventative action
  • Experience in collecting data, preparing reports and presentations and communicating results/status to senior leadership
  • Post-secondary education

Typical Education and Experience:

Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years’ related work experience, 7 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
