Do you like working in a fast-past environment, within a dynamic and diverse national organisation enabling world-leading health and social care research that improves people’s health and wellbeing, and promotes economic growth? Are you the person to facilitate delivery for some of our key projects and initiatives?

In this role, you will be providing main project facilitation and general management duties for projects and/or project work streams using your own initiative and as directed by the relevant lead, leading on the implementation of project management tools and documentation processes as required to ensure delivery.

You will be proactive and initiative-led and be able to work effectively as the link between various project and programme workstream leads and a range of internal and external stakeholders whom you will involve.  You may also take a leading role in project/programme board meeting processes, event management, workshop facilitation and strategic level communications and there will be opportunities for development within the role.

The NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) has developed an infrastructure which values the collective knowledge, shared purpose and participation and engagement of our highly motivated workforce. This workforce has a diverse skill set and is primarily based within the NHS, distributed across health and care settings, including social care.

Projects and programme workstreams supporting the development needs of the CRN workforce in our Coordinating Centre and in projects working with our Local Clinical Research Networks at local and national level are key to core objectives of the Workforce, Learning and Organisational Development Directorate (WLOD). You will be part of a team dedicated to developing our people and enhancing visibility and recognition of the Research Delivery Workforce.  In this role you will be actively contributing to innovation and organisational change across the CRN and the wider clinical research landscape.

At the University of Leeds, we are committed to providing a culture of inclusion, respect and equality of opportunity that attracts, supports, and retains the best students and staff from all backgrounds and from across the world.  Whatever role we recruit for we are always striving to increase the diversity of our community, which each individual helps enrich and cultivate.  We particularly encourage applications from, but not limited to Black, Asian and ethnically diverse people; people who identify as LGBT+; and people with disabilities.

We have identified that people with disabilities are currently underrepresented in this role and particularly welcome applications. Candidates will always be selected based on merit and ability.
