Reporting to the FEIT Head of Infrastructure, the Infrastructure Project Coordinator will support the FEIT Infrastructure Program and Infrastructure Team operations by providing project administrative and strategic communications support.

The FEIT 2025 Infrastructure Program supports the significant growth in the student cohorts and growth in research, particularly with our industry and government partners that will deliver strategic change within the Faculty. Work is well underway to identify the  infrastructure needs across the three sites identified as part of FEIT 2025 – Parkville, Melbourne Connect, Aikenhead Centre for Medical Devices (ACMD) and a new campus at Fishermans Bend.

This role will develop, coordinate and deliver a broad range of communications collateral and activities to support key project priorities, programs and operational activities to drive project delivery and operational communications, project awareness and advocacy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support to the FEIT Head of Infrastructure for the delivery of the FEIT 2025 Infrastructure program of work
  • Assisting in developing documentation, or its elements, in relation to project plans, business cases, feasibility studies and strategic briefings
  • Assisting with the processing and reporting of finances and contracts and updating project related systems.

About You
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, which supported your extensive experience and specialised expertise in creating communications. Having an excellent track record in executing projects, you are no stranger to producing project communication materials, such as reporting and communications, for multiple projects simultaneously. You are able to utilise your graphic and presentation skill as you produce targeted, engaging communications for print, digital, and social channels. Ideally you will also be able to understand complex infrastructure projects and University priorities, manage ambiguity, and make strategic decisions in the best interests of the institution. 

You will also have:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, other University work units and external organisations.
  • Well-developed planning, organisation and scheduling skills, demonstrated initiative and the ability to deliver designated outputs to tight timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member and independently, with minimal supervision.
