Project Assistant – CO2RE Hub

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an ambitious research and engagement programme on an emerging topic of strategic importance to UK and global climate action. As Project Assistant you will support the senior members of staff and be responsible for processes vital to the operation of the new UK research hub for greenhouse gas removal.

Your duties will include implementing core team administrative systems and procedures, including internal communications and engagement, monitoring and evaluation, and management of data and risks. You will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of public and academic events, including the implementation of communications activities to promote those events. A part of the role will be providing administrative support with financial arrangements for events and communications activities: for example, travel bookings, expense claims, invoice payments. You will assist in organising Management Board meetings, preparing agendas, taking and writing minutes. As well as receiving support from Oxford University’s administrative teams, you will also work closely with hub researchers and team members at universities across the country.

The successful candidate will need to be proactive, managing and prioritising a varied and busy workload with the ability to develop professional and effective working relationships. You will have excellent verbal and written skills as demonstrated with correspondence, minutes, reports and website content. You will have experience of diary management and organising meetings and workshops. A high standard of numeracy and IT are essential.

The post is part-time or full time – we can accommodate between 21.9 and 36.5 hours until 31 October 2025 with the possibility for extension.
