Project Administrator: Global History of Capitalism Project (part-time)

About the role

This post will have responsibility for providing dedicated administrative support to the Global History of Capitalism Project (60%), as well as to Oxford’s Centre for Global History (40%), which houses the Global History of Capitalism Project, with flexibility in the working week pattern according to the respective needs of each project/centre.

About you

You will have excellent communication and organisational abilities as well as the ability to handle competing priorities and will have an interest in extending your range of skills (additional training would be given where appropriate).  Accuracy, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and a readiness to contribute to the smooth running of the project are all essential.  You will be able to provide versatile assistance and administrative support as necessary.

This post will come into contact with a range of individuals, including students and academic staff, and you will need to be able to deal with senior people from both inside and outside the University. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, will enable you to handle these working contacts appropriately both in person, on the telephone and in your correspondence with them.

You will have a good general education to at least A level (or equivalent), plus English and Maths GCSE at a minimum grade B or equivalent.

This post is part time, 30% FTE (11.25 hours per week), fixed-term until 31st October 2023.
