Description
Programme Advisor in the Chief Agency Programme Advisor Office, Inspector General’s Office.
Duties
If selected for this post, you will, under the direct authority of the Chief Agency Programme Advisor, be required to organise, conduct and participate in a wide range of independent reviews and enquiry boards for ESA activities, in support of the directorates concerned or as requested by the Director General. More specifically, your duties will include:
Technical competencies
Knowledge of launchers, space projects, including instrumentation and operations
Knowledge of mission risks, costs and schedule aspects
Knowledge of project management
Knowledge of ESA and mission/spacecraft development, verification and procurement processes
Knowledge in the field of programme reviews

Education
You should have a master’s degree in engineering and/or management.
Additional requirements
You should also have:
Several years of hands-on experience in space projects would be considered an asset.

The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.

Recruitment will normally be at the first grade in the band (A2); however, if the candidate selected has little or no experience, the position may be filled at A1 level.
