PROGRAM MANAGER, School of Engineering-Postdoctoral Fellowship Program for Engineering Excellence (PDPEE) , to be responsible for the development and implementation of a program that seeks to discover and develop the next generation of faculty leaders.  Will manage PFPEE operations and administration, including outreach, communications, marketing, and budgets.  Responsibilities include overseeing program functions, policies, and procedures; representing the program internally and externally; partnering on long-term fundraising efforts; working with faculty advisors to track individual development plans and progress; providing information, counsel, and support to prospective/current fellows; developing communications and training; planning, promoting, and/or coordinating events/conferences/lecturers/research talks; developing and managing outreach strategy; collaborating on developing and managing annual budget and associated reports; developing methods for collecting feedback and tracking key program metrics, collecting and analyzing data, creating reports, reviewing and explaining trends; developing strategic and operational plans and systems; and handling other projects as assigned.  


Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree; four years’ administration, operations, and/or program management experience; familiarity with communications, project management, and database tools (e.g., Canvas, MailChimp, QuickBase); excellent active listening, analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills; comprehensive knowledge and understanding of high-impact diversity practices in higher education, particularly in STEM-related fields; working knowledge of the principles/practices of strategic planning, development, and evaluation; and ability to provide collaborative leadership, generate creative solutions to complex problems, work effectively with a variety of individuals/groups, understand formal and informal organizational structures and relationships, link long-range visions/concepts to daily work, and prioritize multiple and often competing demands under deadline pressure.  PREFERRED:  master’s degree/Ph.D.; science or engineering background, training, or work experience in STEM higher education; and experience with program coordination, postdoctoral administration, student affairs, or related field.  Job #21960-9
