Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Program Manager
to join QUT Graduate School of Business, Faculty of Business and Law, Academic Division.

The Program Manager MBA suite is responsible for growing enrolments, managing operational aspects of the programs and fostering extra curricula initiatives in areas such as industry engagement and professional career development.

About the Academic Division

The Academic Division is responsible for supporting and delivering learning, teaching, research and research services to students and staff. This is realised via the Education and Research portfolios and through the work of our Faculties.

The Head of the Academic Division is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Academic), Professor Robina Xavier. Professor Xavier provides strategic oversight and financial management of the Division and provides leadership to the Education portfolio.

The Division’s Research portfolio and academic faculties, are led by the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Research), Professor Christopher Barner-Kowollik.

The Graduate School of Business also delivers programs at a Canberra site.

About the Graduate School of Business

The Graduate School of Business (GSB) is responsible for the design and delivery of transformative postgraduate degrees and non-award executive programs for the Faculty of Business and Law. The GSB portfolio of programs is acclaimed by graduates, employers, rankings and international accreditation agencies, including the Australian Financial Review, AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB.

Programs include transdisciplinary business courses such as the highly ranked and rated Master of Business (MBA) suite, which includes the MBA, Executive MBA and digital MBA degrees. The GSB also designs and delivers customised client awards such as the Graduate Certificate in Business (Public Sector Management) a degree that is offered nationally to public sector leaders and managers within local, state, and federal government agencies.

The GSB is an integrating agent for the Faculty of Business and Law, leveraging the expertise of world-leading academics and researchers from across the Faculty to deliver the courses and foster linkages with industry. The School proudly supports business and law professionals and alumni with opportunities to engage in life-long learning and connect meaningfully with local, national and international organisations.

GSB programs are delivered at QUT locations in Brisbane and Canberra and virtually. Client programs are also delivered at client locations, nationally and internationally. 

What you need to succeed

As a strong communicator, you will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and communicate the shared QUT Values in your approach to work.

You will demonstrate:

  • Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of postgraduate qualifications in business in conjunction with extensive relevant sales experience. An MBA or EMBA would be highly regarded.
  • Proven track record of successfully acquiring new professional services, business, and achieving annual targets. Demonstrated resilience to pursue and achieve recruitment goals.
  • Highly developed interpersonal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Experience in writing compelling proposals and marketing copy.
  • Demonstrated experience co-ordinating programs such as industry engagement events, international study tours, and professional career development programs.
  • Proven high-level organisational skills, the capacity to work independently and to prioritise and complete tasks within conflicting deadlines. Experience in project management and demonstrated flexibility, initiative, commitment and dependability.
  • A knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire knowledge of, relevant QUT policies and procedures together with experience in interpreting, advising and implementing such policies and procedures, including Business School accreditations such as AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA.
