Summary of Job Duties:

The Program Manager will work closely with TRI and the TRI Workforce Development Team leadership to develop, implement, and coordinate programs and operations. He/she will be responsible for utilizing resources efficiently and effectively to execute departmental directives and objectives. The Program Manager will foster relationships with internal and external partners and assist in organizing all administrative aspects of the Workforce Development Team, including assistance with coordination of meetings, events, rosters, and other organizational aspects to support the TRI Workforce Development Team. The Program Manager works with the Assistant Director of Programs and Executive Director, as needed, in order to coordinate, implement, and manage various projects and initiatives, as assigned. Responsible for the overall management of assigned specialized projects, including organizing meetings and events, maintaining documentation, attendance, and performing a variety of duties as assigned. The Program Manager position combines administrative and evaluation-related responsibilities and assists with collaboration between internal teams. The Program Manager must be detail-oriented, self-directed, motivated, team-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task with excellent organizational, problem-solving, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills. The individual must work independently with relatively minimal supervision The Program Manager works directly with the Assistant Director of Programs regarding all program deliverables to ensure continued efficiency. The Program Manager actively presents status of all ongoing deliverables during weekly Workforce Development Team Meetings. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 years of program management or job-related experience OR an Associate’s degree plus 6 years of program management or job-related experience.

Proficient in both written and verbal communication.  Ability to create and track project deadlines and communicate the progress of projects to diverse stakeholder groups.  Requires frequent interaction with various levels of campus leadership, and therefore requires an ability to resolve issues professionally.  Leadership and advanced communication skills are essential. Experience working with diverse teams and proven ability to complete projects on time and target is required.  Advanced computer skills necessary.  Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)  Ability to multi-task is necessary.  Ability to maintain confidential information.

Research Specialist certifications such as: Certified Research Specialist, Certified Clinical Research Coordinator thorough the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), or Certified Clinical Research Professional through the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA) or others.
