WHO WE ARE:
At NB-IRDT we offer a creative, dynamic, and meaningful work environment where all team members are valued.
The heart of MEKTU is investigating the quality, usefulness and effectiveness of policies, programs and practices and the process of moving research into practice. MEKTU is a partnership between NB-IRDT and the Government of New Brunswick (GNB). It was developed in support of the Healthy Seniors Pilot Project (HSPP) – a $75 million partnership project between GNB departments of Social Development and Health and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC). Since its establishment, MEKTU continues to support the HSPP while expanding to support other projects through helping governments, communities and partners make trusted, evidence informed decisions to improve the lives of citizens.
We inform effective practices, programs, and policies in New Brunswick and beyond through collaboration, monitoring, robust evaluations, and knowledge transfer.
We are engaged in a wide variety of research/evaluation projects in health, education, and other social sciences sectors. Our team has a diverse academic background, including psychology, business, economics, criminology, health sciences, education, gerontology, and kinesiology.
This position is part of the PSAC, Local 60551 employee group and falls under the PTSU Collective Agreement.
UNB is situated on the unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik and Mi’kmaq peoples along the banks of the beautiful and bountiful Wolastoq river, a region recognized worldwide for its natural beauty. UNB is a comprehensive university with a long history of excellence in teaching and research.
