The University of Maryland, Baltimore Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Supervisory Program Director in the Center for Blood Oxygen Transport and Hemostasis. The Program Director achieves Center objectives through coordinating the efforts of others, typically by managing recruitment, engagement, performance, and development of employees. Other responsibilities include developing and implementing goals and objectives, participating in strategic planning, and managing workflow, projects, and/or systems. The Program Director is accountable for operational and financial resources, ensuring legal and policy compliance, and recommends financial, personnel, and significant strategic decisions for senior management approval.

Essential Functions:
Education: Bachelor’s degree.
Experience: Six (6) years of program oversight including program planning, budget, and coordination
Supervisory Experience: Two (2) years of direct management experience required.
Certification/Licensure: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.

Knowledge of position requirements. Knowledge of all applicable requirements, regulations, and laws. Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems. Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to work cooperatively with others and independently. Hiring Range: Approximately $93,000 – $98,000, commensurate with education and experience.
