About the Department

The Testing Services Office is part of the University of Cincinnati Academic Excellent and Support Services, located in the Division of Student Affairs. Testing Services coordinates the administration of classroom tests for students with disabilities at University of Cincinnati.

 

Job Overview

Under the general guidance from the Director of Testing Services, the Program Coordinator at the UC East (Medical) Campus directs, develops, and manages the operations, activities, and student staff for Testing Services.

Essential Functions

  • Develop program objectives and monitor progress toward objectives.
  • Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions and develop action steps for program improvement.
  • Design and implement evaluation tools for programs at the medical campus.
  • Manage the Accommodated Test Registration System for students enrolled in health fields.
  • Act as liaison to health students, faculty, and staff.
  • Respond to student, faculty, and staff questions and concerns.
  • Gather and analyze relevant data for semi-annual reports.
  • Plan and organize exam scheduling throughout the year.
  • Provide proctoring services while demonstrating attention to detail.
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, and training accommodated student staff.
  • Provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

One (1) year of program coordination experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Experience working with students or employees with disabilities in the educational or workplace setting.
  • Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and its application in the university setting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the higher education environment and in working collaboratively with faculty and staff.
  • Skills using Microsoft applications, particularly Excel.
  • Capacity to address emergent needs with also managing short and long term projects or tasks.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
