The Rotman MBA helps talented professionals to push their limits, expand their creativity, and develop their leadership and decision-making skills to take their career to the next level. The Office of Student Engagement supports these MBA students through offering a holistic range of activities designed to encourage personal and professional development that include Student Advising, Mental Health and Wellness and Student Engagement.

The Program Coordinator, International is part of an innovative, dynamic and collaborative team committed to delivering a transformational student experience. In this role you will support all aspects of the Exchange and Doing Business Internationally programs for the Full-Time and Morning Evening MBA programs (which includes managing inbound and outbound student activities, liaising with partner institutions, and all program support).

Working with OSE, Rotman and CIE colleagues, the Program Coordinator will ensure students are aware of all exchange and DBI opportunities and will offer assistance at key points to ensure students are well prepared to have a successful international experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and implementing components of curricular and/or co-curricular programs and activities
  • Liaising with colleagues to encourage the use of best practices and consistent programming
  • Fostering cooperative working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external contacts
  • Facilitating educational workshops and seminars
  • Advising students on co-curricular, academic and personal matters by providing options and consequences incorporating personal circumstances impacting academic success and an understanding of an individual’s background
  • Developing content for marketing and/or promotional materials
  • Developing strategies that maximize outreach to students
  • Keeping well-informed on University programs, policies and procedures

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four years working in student support services at the post-secondary level
  • Knowledge in event planning for virtual and in-person events for large and small groups (from 5 to 300)
  • Experience with communication software (Mail Chimp) or other E-Communication tool
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and comfortable with presenting to groups
  • Solid interpersonal, intercultural and customer service skills, including the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters
  • Must possess the ability to relate to students and colleagues in a manner which builds trust and confidence
  • Demonstrated experience with ROSI, CRM (Salesforce) and other records management systems

Assets (Nonessential):

  • Prior experience working in an international office
  • Prior experience working with Graduate Business studentsand familiarity with the unique needs of students in a global progra
  • International experience/experience being an international student

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:

USW Pay Band 12 — $78,308 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $100,144. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
