Job Description:
The primary purpose of the Concurrent Enrollment Student Coordinators is to act as a liaison between school districts and Aims Community College with regard to concurrent enrollment students. Concurrent Enrollment Student Coordinators support local high school students who are taking college courses. This includes processing student accounts, student registration, connecting students with support services, troubleshooting student issues, and support any other challenges as it relates to student’s participation in concurrent enrollment. Additionally, this position works closely with high school personnel such as counselors and advisors to facilitate the concurrent enrollment experience for students. The main focus of this position is to support concurrent enrollment students who are participating in on-campuses experiences including, but not limited to, Career Academy, Pathways in Technology Early College High School, Accelerating Students through Concurrent Enrollment (ASCENT), and Teacher Recruitment Education and Preparation Program (TREP). This position requires some travel between Aims Community College and local High Schools. Finally, the Concurrent Enrollment Student Coordinator supports the overall function of the High School Programs office.
Student Support:
- Primary liaison between concurrent enrollment students and Aims Community College.
- Work in coordination with Recruitment office at Aims Community College to support prospective high school students in applying to Aims Community College
- Ensure schools and students have accurate information on what concurrent enrollment offerings available to students. This may include any program specific prerequisites or requirements.
- Work in coordination with high school personnel on any student related registration issues. This includes ensuring that school personnel are submitting appropriate forms, documentation, and rosters in a timely manner.
- Connect concurrent enrollment students with the appropriate Aims Community College service they need such as, advising, financial services, Recruitment, learning commons, or any other student support service.
- Work in coordination with Recruitment office with students interested in matriculating into Aims Community College, upon graduation, though the Concurrent Enrollment program.
Coordination of Career Academy:
- Coordinate the entire Career Academy program. This includes working in conjunction with Department Chairs to develop and refine program pathways
- Work in collaboration with school counselors and administrators to inform and recruit students to participate in Career Academy, which includes organizing and hosting Career Academy events.
- Maintaining Career Academy Program Information, marketing materials, program handbook and any other related information
- Process all Career Academy student applications, registrations, and grades reports. Collect and report data to internal departments, external partners, including high school counselors.
- Host student and parent information and orientation events and maintain communication with students through the duration of the program
- provide additional supports for students who may be struggling academically while in the Career Academy program.
Student Processing:
- Process concurrent enrollment student accounts and registrations.
- Process required documents to ensure that classes are adequately prepared and students are registered prior to start of course.
- Collaborate with Student Services (Records and Registration, Advising, financial services, etc.) on any registration paperwork and procedures.
- Assists school district staff with concurrent enrollment paperwork, program integration and changes/modifications. This includes ensuring that district personnel adhere to deadlines set forth by Aims Community College.
- Process student registration discrepancies and when appropriate process any student registration changes.
- Support in the maintenance of student records
- Requires proficient in Aims Community College student management systems such as Banner and Workday.
Supporting High School Programs:
- Collaborate with other members of the High School Programs office to support initiatives, strategic tactics, or any other tasks that contribute to the goals of the overall division.
- Work closely with the High School Programs team on concurrent enrollment offerings in high schools.
- Working closely with the High School Programs team on development of student pathways.
- Ensure that high school partners are up to date on existing program information and informed on new programs available to students. Including Career Academy, PTECH, ASCENT and TREP
Reporting & Other Duties as Assigned:
- Report to Academic Pathways, external clients, and to students and counselors at the school districts.
- May attend and report on district board meetings.
- Participates on various committees on campus and off campus as requested.
- Attend other department meetings working synergistically with concurrent enrollment students.
- Attend the Concurrent Enrollment Advisory Board meetings.
- Assist Program Director with enrollment numbers to forecast scheduling of future classes.
- Assist the Program Directors with data for the determination of course costs, student projections and inventory projections
- Provides input for the annual budget.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Counseling or any field related to Education plus three (3) years of work experience in K-12 education, higher education, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.

Proven results in program development along with excellent public relation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with concurrent enrollment programs.

Experience working in either secondary or post-secondary education.

Minimum Payment Amount:
$48,431.00
Employees in these positions may be asked to participate in temporary assignments lasting less than 6 months (such as curriculum development, short term projects, meetings and substitute duties) which could amount to additional temporary pay.
