The Program Coordinator will coordinate and oversee day-to-day programmatic activities, administrative functions, and events for the Office of Program and Event Management within the Office of Academic Affairs. Manage operations of the unit’s programs; including but not limited to scheduling, budgeting, and logistics. Responsible for facilitating projects from proposal and inception to implementation and post-implementation needs. The coordinator will manage and provide oversight for programs within the Office of Academic Affairs, including, the university faculty award process and the Emeritus Academy grants and administrative functions.

70%      Plan and implement programs, projects and events for the Office of Academic Affairs and Office of Program and Event Management in coordination with the Director. Manage the day-to-day operations of the unit’s programs and events. Work closely with OAA marketing and communications to develop and implement communication plans and executive level correspondence on all programs. Two of those key programs include:

  • Coordinate the annual university faculty awards process in its entirety, including responsible for the recruitment, application, selection, notification, surprise announcement events, and awarding process. Collaborate with OAA Marketing and Communications university Office of Marketing and Communications, Office of the President, OTDI, Office of Human Resources, Office of the University Registrar and departments schools and colleges across campus.

  • Provide administrative leadership, coordinate the grant process (application, invitations, award letters, funding process, and reporting), and plan the monthly events for the Emeritus Academy. Facilitate new membership and membership renewals, including application, invitations, certificates, and record keeping. Coordinate with OAA Communications and Marketing to develop and send branded communications and to manage updates to Academy website, including those related to events. Provide support to the Steering Committee.

30%      Assist with event planning and consulting in the Office of Program and Event Management for special events and activities within the Office of Academic Affairs.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor’s Level Degree

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; 2 years minimum experience in program management and/or event planning; experience working with and contributing to diverse learning environments; excellent communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects at a time; ability to work across various university entities.

Proposed salary range: $53,800-$71,700
