Offer DescriptionTo delve into the Christian faith with its wide-ranging contexts and to demonstrate its lasting relevance in our contemporary era, Dogmatics adopts an interdisciplinary approach. Through dialogue with other theological and academic disciplines, the foundations, key developments, and meanings of Christian traditions – starting from the Bible – are explored and their significance for the present is determined. In addition to fostering interdenominational and interreligious dialogue, an interdisciplinary orientation is essential for rendering the content of the Christian faith comprehensible within the diverse contexts of our time. Whilst respecting the methodological boundaries of the respective disciplines, the subject of Dogmatics at the University of Graz primarily aims at bringing natural, cultural and arts sciences into the conversation with Theology. This interdisciplinary orientation triggers a deepened and updated reflection on faith, enabling its lasting relevance for today’s church, science and society to be demonstrated. • Austrian or equivalent foreign higher education degree corresponding with the position (doctorate/PhD)
• Habilitation or equivalent qualification in Dogmatics or in the broader field of Systematic Theology
• Outstanding academic qualifications in research and teaching in the relevant discipline and for the profile of the professorship (commensurate with stage of academic career)
• Success in attracting subject-specific project grants, particularly where competitively awarded third-party funds are concerned
• Skills in higher education didactics and online teaching
• Skills in the supervision and guidance of early career researchers
• Professional experience abroad during academic career
• Management and leadership experience
• Gender mainstreaming skills
• Good knowledge of German and English
• Proficiency in teaching in English
• Experience in academic self-administration
• High level of social skills, ability to work in a team and flexibility

Additional InformationBenefitsThe minimum remuneration as stated in the Collective Bargaining Agreement is EUR 89.075,00 gross per year.
