Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Professor (Clinical Professor)

The Trauma-Acute Care Surgery section in the Department of Surgery, Division of GI, Trauma, and Endocrine Surgery is seeking a 0.1 FTE surgeon certified in General Surgery at the rank of Clinical Professor.
This position has responsibilities with all aspects of general surgery including trauma and acute care surgery and surgical critical care. Responsibilities include outpatient ambulatory care, building and implementation of trauma survivor program, and teaching and research.
The position is located at the University of Colorado Denver, on the Anschutz Medical Campus, with privileges at University of Colorado Hospital, an American College of Surgeons verified and State of Colorado designated Level I trauma center with > 100,000 ED patient visits per year.
This role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Current medical degree with board certification in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery.
Previous experience as a TACS Surgeon in a Level I Trauma center.
Previous appointment at the Professor level in an Academic Medical Institution.
Added Qualification in Surgical Critical Care after completion of a formal fellowship program in trauma and critical care is strongly preferred.
Previous experience building trauma survivor program.
Demonstrated experience in surgical education, research and patient care.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range ( or hiring range ) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
$25,000 to $50,000 per year for a 0.1 FTE
The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
