Loughborough University

The School of Business and Economics at Loughborough University is internationally-leading in research and teaching covering the disciplines of business, management, finance, accounting and economics.

We provide a high-quality education experience and undertake research that is tailored to the demands of today’s business environment. The School is triple accredited (AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB) and it is consistently rated as one of the UK’s top-ten business schools in national league tables. This leading position is built and developed around a vibrant international community that provides an excellent environment for progressing an academic career.

The School is looking to appoint Professors who will provide academic leadership for the development and improvement of a high-quality programme portfolio, helping to deliver a suite of programmes that is consistently relevant and attractive in the higher education market, and aligned with the School’s vision and strategy.  This will involve providing leadership for all aspects of teaching provision on a designated programme portfolio, including programme governance, quality assurance, academic progress, student engagement and the overall student experience. It will also include the need to contribute to shaping School policy on learning, teaching and assessment within the context of institutional learning and teaching strategy and the School’s strategic plan.

We welcome applications from candidates who are aligned to any of the school’s discipline areas and who have a strong specialist and supporting academic background. Successful candidates will have a sustained and continuing record of excellence, significant leadership experience especially linked to programme leadership and teaching. They will have a high-profile reputation that is well-established nationally and internationally. Evidence of significant academic leadership and scholarship experience are also essential.
